The Indian Meteorological Department on Saturday said that places like Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, and Gujarat are expected to receive heavy rainfall today. Also, forecast a flood-like situation in Bihar for the next two days.

The local authorities of Bihar have released a flood warning in around 13 North Bihar districts. The government also announced that schools will remain close in Darbhanga, West Champaran, Muzaffarpur, Bhagalpur, and Sheikhpura.
Besides, the areas over Sub-Himalayan, Sikkim and West Bengal are likely to receive the downpour throughout the day, says the weather forecast agency.
IMD has already predicted the incessant rains in Assam and Meghalaya, Tripura, Nagaland, Manipur and Mizoram from September 29 onwards.
"Heavy to very heavy rainfall with extremely heavy falls very likely at isolated places over Chhattisgarh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, East Rajasthan, Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Assam, and Meghalaya," stated IMD in its All India Weather Warning Bulletin.
Due to heavy rainfall, near 45 people were killed in Uttar Pradesh and Telangana in the past 24 hours. Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath asked the authorities to provide aid to the rain-affected areas and also extend immediate relief works. Till Friday, Lucknow recorded 76.4 mm rain and 39.2 mm rain since Friday morning.
