Hyderabad woman attempts to commit suicide outside home minister's cabin

A 33-year-old woman attempted to commit suicide outside Telangana Home Minister Naini Narshimha Reddy's cabin on 7 October.

Saifabad Police said Swapna attempted to commit suicide by consuming sleeping tablets.

"She approached the state home minister with a request that they take action against her husband who was harassing her continuously," said the station house officer.

The attempted suicide created chaos in the state secretariat.
