Hizbul Mujahideen militant arrested in Kulgam

The Kulgam police on 9 November arrested terrorist organisation Hizbul Mujahideen's Over Ground Worker (OGW) Showkat Ahmad Lone, on 9 November.

"HM Divisional Commander Riyaz Naikoo had given Showkat Ahmad the task of snatching weapons from security forces," Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sridhar Patil told media.

One Pistol and four rounds were also seized.

"The moment the police got to know about it, we activated our sources and on that basis arrested OGW Showkat Ahmad Lone," SSP Patil he said.

"After living in Pakistan for about eighteen years, he came back to India," he added.

The OGW has been associated with HM for a long time, where the police say that the former has done a "lot of work" for the terrorist organisation.
