Meteorological (MeT) Department scientist Naresh Kumar on Sunday said that heavy snowfall is expected in Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh on February 24.
Speaking to ANI, he further said that western disturbance will be approaching Indian region on February 20 and 23.
"From February 20, the western disturbance will be approaching Indian region. It'll cause isolated to scattered precipitation over the western Himalayan region. Another western disturbance will approach from February 23 that'll cause scattered to fairly widespread rainfall and snowfall," he said.
He further said that the western disturbance will not cause any damage to the crops in the next seven days.
