Heroin worth Rs 50 lakh for New Year seized in Mumbai, 1 arrested
The Mumbai Police on December 12 arrested a person from Malvani area and recovered 126 grams of Heroin from his possession. The value of the seized drugs is estimated to be Rs 50 lakh.
The accused has been identified as Sohail Ahmed Sheikh, who was pinned down as soon as he arrived in the Malvani area.

A preliminary investigation revealed that Sohail was smuggling drugs from Rajasthan to Mumbai for a New Year's party.
Police have registered a case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (NDPS Act), and are investigating other links.
Sohail Ahmed Sheikh was produced in a Mumbai court and has been sent to police custody.
