Here’s what Rahul Gandhi said while choosing CMs in Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and MP

Congress President Rahul Gandhi must be on cloud nine as his party could able to win three crucial heartlands of Bhartiya Janata Party. The party registered a big victory after defeated in 2013 elections and wrest the power of BJP from Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.

Rahul Gandhi said that it is the time for a change in these states and his party will make it true.


During a press conference in New Delhi, Gandhi was asked about his candidates face for Chief Minister posts in the three states. He answered that ‘it will be done smoothly.’

On the defeat in Mizoram and Telangana, Gandhi congratulated the parties that won in the two states i.e. Mizo National Front (MNF) and the Telangana Rashtra Samithi, respectively.

Congress has already registered its huge victory in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh but in Madhya Pradesh, the fight between BJP and Congress was neck-and-neck. After 24-hours, the results in the hand of Congress and BJP lost its heartland where it was ruled for the last 15 years.

Congress won 114 seats and defeated BJP, who secured 109 seats in the house 230.

Congress has lead in those states where BJP was ruling for 15 years i.e. Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh.

The three-time Chief Minister and BJP leader Raman Singh has also admitted its defeats and took the responsibility for the defeat.

When Gandhi was asked about forming alliance with Mayawati's BSP, he said that 'the ideology of Samajwadi Party, Bahujan Samaj Party and the Congress is the same, i.e. different from that of the BJP.'
