Two buildings of 6 storey got collapsed last night in Greater Noida’s Shah Beri Village. 3 dead bodies have been recovered till now while many people are feared trapped under the debris of the buildings. However, 4 National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams have been deployed. However, Police have arrested three people in connection with the incident.
The search and rescue operations are underway at the spot.

As per the NDRF commandant PK Srivastava told to news agency ANI that ‘the chances of any trapped people under debris are very less. He also added that ‘Operations will continue till all victims are rescued.’

Out of the two buildings, one of the was under construction which fell on the other constructed building.
As per the reports, at least 12 workers were inside the building at the time of this mishappening occurred and all of them are feared trapped, said Chief Fire Officer Arun Kumar Singh. The incident occurred at around 9 pm on 17th July.
‘As of now we don't know what happened, it is too early to say anything in that regard. Our motive right now is to save any life that is left,’ Kumar Vineet, ADM, Gautam Budh Nagar, told news agency ANI.
Reportedly, twelve ambulances are present at the spot and hospitals nearby have been alerted.

However, CM Yogi Adityanath has taken cognisance of the incident and has asked the District Magistrate to take up relief measures with National Disaster Response Force team & Police to ensure immediate rescue.
