I welcome PM Modi's message to our people. As we celebrate Pakistan Day I believe it is time to begin a comprehensive dialogue with India to address & resolve all issues, esp the central issue of Kashmir, & forge a new relationship based on peace & prosperity for all our people.

Although PM Modi’s message was directed upon terrorism, PM Imran Khan brought in the issue of Kashmir in his response. This happened a day after India’s Ministry of External Affairs, in a statement, boycotted the Pakistan National Day event here in Delhi.
PM Imran Khan, in his response tweeted, “I welcome PM Modi's message to our people. As we celebrate Pakistan Day I believe it is time to begin a comprehensive dialogue with India to address & resolve all issues, esp the central issue of Kashmir, & forge a new relationship based on peace & prosperity for all our people.”
India and Pakistan have been involved in a bitter relationship since last month after a face off between both the nuclear neighbours, as India had conducted “pre-emptive non-military” air strike across the LoC in Balakot at the terror camps of Jaish-e-Mohammad, post deadly Pulwama attack which claimed the lives of more than 40 CRPF soldiers. Pakistan had responded by attacking Indian military armaments with its F-16 fighter jets.
