Prime Minister Narendra Modi will meet US President Donald Trump on Monday in G7 Summit for the first time after Article 370 scrapped in Jammu-Kashmir. The meeting is important as it comes at a time when Pakistan is seeking help from other countries to make Kashmir is an internationalise issue.
While Donald Trump in the recent past two times has offered India and Pakistan to mediate between the two on Kashmir issue. Even the US PM said that they will try and ask Modi if he is ready to allow the US to intervene in the Kashmir issue. However, the other countries have already cleared that state that Kashmir is an internal issue of India and they won't intervene in the matter.
Last week, PM Modi had a telephonic conversation with Trump where he told him that extreme rhetoric and incitement to ant-India violence by certain leaders in the region was not conducive to peace in the region. After article 370 revoked in Kashmir, Pakistan PM Imran Khan and other leaders have made many statements over the Kashmir issue and asked for international help.
PM Modi and Donald Trump may discuss their bilateral ties and trade. Let us tell you that a few months ago, the US broke the favourite national deal with India in trade.
