Former Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister G Parameshwara’s personal assistant has allegedly committed suicide in Bangaluru.
The PA was not among those who were raided by the Income Tax department as they carried out raids at multiple locations linked to the Congress leader on Thursday and Friday, sources in the IT department stated.

The police stated that the motive for Ramash’s alleged suicide is not clear, "He was with me during the raids. I had told him nothing will happen and not to worry. He was a soft-spoken man. I don't know why he committed suicide. It's unfortunate that this happened," Parameshwara said.
Rs 4.25 crore in cash was recovered during the raid at over 30 locations linked to former Deputy Chief Minister G Parameshwara and his aides, official said.

The raid conducted were in connection to an alleged multi crore tax evasion case pertaining to medical seats, official said.
Ramesh was found hanging from a tree at the Bangaluru University campus on Saturday morning.
