The forest officials of the Belacoba forest range arrested a man in Jalpaiguri district and seized an elephant ivory from his possession. The ivory weighed around 3 kg.

Elephants ivories are in huge demand in the black market due to which thousands of gentle giants have been killed by poachers over the years.
Governments across the world have taken stringent action to stop the killing of elephants, but they are still being killed for their tusks.
