As the counting of votes has begun for Haryana Assembly polls, Dushyant Chautala stated that his Jannayak Janata Party(JJP) will emerge victorious and neither the Bharatiya Janata Party not the Congress will exceed the 40 seat mark.
“Na BJP, na Congress 40 par karegi. Satta ki chabhi JJP (Jannayak Janata Party) ke haanth mein hogi (Neither the BJP nor the Congress will be able to cross the 40-seat mar. The JJP will hold the key to power),” Dushyant Chautala said, according to news agency ANI.
“JJP will have the key of Vidhan Sabha of Haryana. Time will tell you more. Haryana wants change,” he said.
When asked if his party will support BJP or Congress, Mr Chautala stated, “Let the result come. We have decided to convene a meeting of MLAs, we will decide on this after holding discussion with all of them.
The fate of a total of 1,169 candidates will be decided today, the state of Haryana went to polls on 21st October.

As per the office of Chief Electoral Officer, 1,064 male and 105 female candidates are in tussle.
90 candidates are from the BJP, 87 from the BSP, 4 from the CPI, 7 from the CPI-M, 90 from the Congress, 1 from the NCP, 81 from the Indian National Lok Dal, 375 Independent and 434 other candidates.
