President of the US (POTUS) Donald Trump, along with First Lady of the US (FLOTUS) has begun their jam-packed second-day visit in New Delhi, where he arrived last night. Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Donald Trump bilateral meeting, they have paid tributes at Rajghat and sought the blessing of Mahatma Gandhi.

The US President was accorded a ceremonial welcome at the forecourt of Rashtrapati Bhavan at 10:00 am. After this, Trump visited the Rajghat, where POTUS, accompanied by wife Melania Trump paid homage to India’s Freedom Fighter Mahatma Gandhi.
Donald Trump also observed one-minute of silence at Rajghat. Later, he signed the Visitor’s Book.

“The America people stand strongly with a sovereign and wonderful India. The vision of the great Mahatma Gandhi. This is a tremendous honour,” Trump wrote in a visitor’s book at Rajghat.
The Trumps also planted a tree at Rajghat. They have been accompanied by the Union minister Hardeep Singh Puri.
Later today, the US President Donald Trump will hold a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister at Hyderabad House. India and the US will also be signing a $3 billion defence deal that Donald Trump announced yesterday during the Namaste Trump event. PM Modi will also be hosting the Trumps for lunch.
Donald Trump arrived India on 24th February for his two-day visit to India. Trump has been joined by wife Melania Trump, daughter Ivanka Trum, son-in-law Jared Kushner and other US delegates. Earlier, Trumps had participated in Namaste Trump event where US President addressed over 1 lakh people at Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad.
