The Dokalam issue was handled "very well" and with "great maturity", Union minister and former Indian ambassador to the UN Hardeep Singh Puri said today.
India and China last month ended a 73-day standoff in Dokalam area of the Sikkim sector that was triggered by China's move to build a road in the border area.
"The Dokalam issue was handled very well and with great maturity," Puri, who is the housing and urban affairs minister in the Modi Government, told reporters on the sidelines of an event here.
On a query over grievances of homebuyers who have invested their hard-earned money in housing projects in the national capital region, Puri said his ministry is looking at "different options" to tackle delays in completion of the housing projects.
Asked what options his ministry is mulling, Puri said, "Let us complete the exercise... I am not going to speculate. My clear approach here is that we are seized of the matter."
Realtors have been facing protests and litigation from homebuyers due to huge delays in completion of projects in the national capital region.
"If you look at social media, those who have been adversely affected by the action of the builders are already acknowledging that they are getting help from different quarters like central and state governments and courts," the minister said.
