Denmark's Crown Prince Frederik André Henrik Christian and Crown Princess Mary Elizabeth arrived in Uttar Pradesh's Agra city on February 26 to see one of the Seven Wonders of the World and arguably the most beautiful monument – the Taj Mahal.
Both the Crown Prince and Princess were mesmerized by the majestic beauty of the Taj, which glows in the sunlight. The royal couple is on a two-day visit to India from February 26 to March 2.
The official spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs, Arindam Bagchi, announced that the visit of the Danish royal couple aims to strengthen and enhance the close and friendly ties between the two countries.
As per the official schedule, Denmark Crown Prince Frederik Andre Henrik Christian will hold a meeting with Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar in Delhi. Prince Frederik will also address the opening session of the India-Denmark: Partners for Green & Sustainable Progress organized by CII. The royal couple will also meet President Droupadi Murmu, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) during their visit.
Notably, this is the first royal visit from the Denmark in two decades.
Earlier, the Crown Prince of Denmark travelled to India in 2003. Queen Margrethe II visited India in 2003 as a Crown Princess.
