Delhi continues to remain in grip of severe cold after dense fog on Monday. Severe cold condition is recorded by IMD today i.e Tuesday, the minimum temperature settled at 4.8 degree Celsius while the maximum temperature was recorded as 13 degree Celsius two notches above that on Monday morning.
Today’s Air Quality Index was recorded at 401in the severe category with overall AQI remains in the ‘severe’ category. An AQI between 201 and 300 is considered 'poor', 301-400 'very poor' and 401-500 'severe', while the AQI above 500 falls in the 'severe plus' category.
As per 0530 hours IST, temps are showing +ve tendency over Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh, Punjab, Rajasthan and West UP. However they are still towards -ve East Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

Around 8 am AQI in Gaziabad was recorded under ‘hazardous’ category at 330 while in several other places including Punjabi Bagh, Gurugram, Faridabad, under ‘poor’ category. As per IMD, the national capital witnessed the season's worst "dense fog" with "visibility of 0-200 metres for a very prolonged period from 0230 to 1200 hours".

So far no flights at Delhi airport have been delayed owing to the clear weather an hour ago airport official tweeted and asked their passengers to travel safe and stress-free.
