In a shocking incident, a neighbour shot at a 24-year-old man allegedly over an argument on the music noise in Delhi's Vasant Kunj area. According to PTI reports, the Mohit was partying on the terrace of the building with his friends, when the neighbour came and an argument broke between them over creating noise.
The incident took place on Saturday night and police were informed at 12 am about a man being shot by his neighbour after a scuffle, reported PTI.
When police reached the spot, the injured was taken to Fortis hospital by his family members and accused neighbour Neeraj was at his flat on the third floor, a senior police officer said.
“Neeraj was arrested from his flat. A case was registered and the pistols used in the crime which was procured illegally was recovered from his possession,” police said.
According to a preliminary investigation, Mohit was partying on the common terrace of the building with three other friends, when accused Neeraj’s wife came and asked them to not to make noise. Following which, Mohit and Neeraj’s wife broke into an argument.
Later, Neeraj came to the terrace and got engaged with a verbal spat with Mohit, following which he left the terrace and returned with a pistol.
Mohit Chabra suffered two bullet injuries on his head. His condition is critical and is undergoing treatment at Fortis hospital in Vasant Kunj, police said.
