A Delhi’s Patiala House Court has today adjourned the Aircel Maxis deal case till 11th January and also extended the protection of P Chidambaram and his son Karti.
The case involves the senior Congress leader and former Finance Minister P Chidambaram and his son Karti, who are alleged to have given benefit to the Aircel and the Maxis to struck a deal, while Chidambaram was in the office of Finance Ministry and thereby, broke a 2G scam in which then Telecom Minister A Raja was arrested.
The court has also extended the protection of the father, son duo until January 11 from the two watchdogs, CBI and Enforcement Directorate.
The news agency ANI had tweeted saying, “Aircel Maxis case adjourned till 11th January by Delhi's Patiala House Court. The court also extended the interim protection of Karti Chidambaram and P Chidambaram till 11th January in both CBI and ED cases.”
