Nirbhaya's mother Asha Devi on January 5 met with the family of Sultanpuri accident victim Anjali Singh, who died after being dragged for several kilometers by a car in the early hours of New Year's Day.
Nirbhaya was gang-raped by six men on December 16 2012. She was mercilessly tortured and raped in the national capital in a moving bus and thrown off on the roadside to die. The family fought a decade-long battle to bring justice to their child.
Asha Devi met with Anjali’s mother and paid her condolences. The visit of the 2012 gang-rape victim’s mother is an assurance that people are with her and sympathize with him.
