Former finance minister Arun Jaitley passed away today at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). Condolences for the family poured in from all walks of life. From cricketers to film stars to opposition leaders, everyone is mourning the death of the stalwart politician.
At this time of grief, Congress leader Kapil Sibal shared an old picture of him and Jaitley opening the batting together to pay tribute to the BJP leader.
Sibal also shared a tweet to condole the demise of Jaitley where he wrote, “Very sorry to learn that Arun Jaitley is no more. An old friend and a dear colleague will be remembered for his seminal contributions to the polity and as FM of India . As Leader of Opposition he was without match. He always stood steadfastly for his friends and for his party.”

French Ambassador to India Alexandre Ziegler said, “On behalf of France, I offer our heartfelt condolences to the family & loved ones of Arun Jaitley ji. France stands with India & its people in this time of deep grief.”
Arun Jaitley passed away today after he was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) earlier this month. He was placed under observation at the hospital's Cardio Neuro Centre.
