A Special CBI court here will pronounce judgements in the encounter cases of Sohrabuddin and his aide Tulsiram Prajapati on December 21.
Sohrabuddin was killed in Gujarat in 2005, allegedly in a fake encounter.
Prajapati was killed in 2006, again allegedly in a fake encounter.
The Sohrabuddin killing case, which had generated much political heat, was transferred to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in 2010.
The Special CBI court, which has examined 210 witnesses during the trial, had on December 5 reserved its order in the sensitive case.
The judgement will decide the fate of 22 individuals accused in the case.
Initially 38 people were made accused in the case.
However, during the trial, 16 of them were discharged.
The discharged people included BJP President Amit Shah, who was the Home Minister of Gujarat at the time of the encounter, former DIG in Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) DG Vanzara, and Gulab Chand Kataria, then Home Minister of Rajasthan.
During the hearing of the case, 92 of the witnesses were declared hostile.
