BS Yeddyurappa has left for the Raj Bhavan for the oath ceremony as a Karnataka Next CM. After midnight high volt drama from Karnataka to Supreme Court, the bench of 3 judges refused to stay on the oath ceremony of Yeddyurappa as CM. Whereas on the other hand Congress and JD (S) moved their MLA’s to the Eagleton resort in Bengaluru. The senior leaders of JD (S) and Congress, Kumaraswamy and Ghulam Nabi Azad has been stationed at the resort.
The alliance filed a petition for restraining Yeddyurappa from taking the oath and also to challenge the 15 days granted to the latter in order to prove his majority. The bench of three judges of Supreme Court AK Sikri, SA Bobde and Ashok Bhushan said in the midnight hearing that "As far as swearing-in is concerned, we are not restraining it, but we are making it subject to the outcome of the case,".
