It’s not a pleasant time for the Indian Airlines these days, after the debacle of the Jet Airways, another company Air Vistara is in news as it irked a controversy by tweeting out a photo with Major General retired GD Bakshi and thereafter deleted it as well.
The incident has led to the trolling of the airline and on Twitter, #BoycottVistara has started trending since last 24 hours. The picture has faced a backlash from the netizens and the ruling BJP’s workers have supported Air Vistara in a different manner in these time.
The airline tweeted saying, “honoured to have Bakshi on the flight, “a decorated Kargil war hero. Thank you Sir, for your service to the nation.” It is the controversial remarks of GD Bakshi made in the past on TV channels and at events which has stoked the users online and made them furious.
I quite liked @airvistara but their love for this bigot shows that either they are ignorant or the airline condones Bakshi’s anti-Muslim stance. Will they honour Sadhvi Pragya next? No more flying with Vistara. @JantaKaReporter https://t.co/pLKNO9eNXl
