The Bombay High Court rejects the plea of 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts convicts seeking 45 days parole to get married on Tuesday. Gangster Salem, who is lodged in Taloja jail had sought parole for 45 days to get married for the second time.
Earlier, Navi Mumbai Commissioner rejected Salem's parole application on April 21, which he applied for his marriage. which he applied for his marriage.

Abu Salem has approached the high court seeking 45 days’ parole to marry Mumbra resident Kausar Bahar. Earlier, Salem claimed to have married Kausar over the phone during a train journey in 2014 when he was being taken to Lucknow for a court hearing.
However, Kausar had subsequently filed an application before a local court threatening to kill herself if she was not granted permission to marry the jailed gangster and Mumbai terror attack convict.
Abu Salem, represented by advocate Farhana Shah, claimed that the Konkan divisional commissioner and the appellate authorities rejected his plea for parole without “applying their mind,” reported TOI.
Abu Saleem has been in prison since his extradition from Portugal in 2005. The gangster is serving a life sentence in jail after being convicted in the 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts that had killed 257 and injured around 713 people. He has also been sentenced to seven years rigorous imprisonment in 2002 extortion case by Delhi Court.
