In a recent incident of spreading fake news, BJP parliamentarian Giriraj Singh has fallen for the fake website and declared that ‘Congress party is the 2nd most corrupt party of India.’

Union Minister Giriraj Singh tweeted today in the morning that “Top 10 List of Most Corrupt Political Party in the World 2018 and Rahul Gandhi led congress making it all the way to 2nd spot …congratulations to the most corrupt political party.”

Post this, the tweet became viral with more than 1000 likes and around 474 retweets and the BJP minister was caught red handed in propagating fake news and falling for the one as well.

The BJP MP, who termed the Congress party as “shame for India,” had based his claims on a website named bbcnewshub.com and the title of the report and ranking read as “Top 10 List of Most Corrupt Political Party in the World 2018,” wherein the only Indian party to feature in the list was Congress, which stood at second.

Some lines from the fake news article produced by the website were, “political parties do hire member or contenders, these parties are also to run and organize elections to decide the government of any country in the world.”
