A day after Samajwadi Patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and expressed his hope that he wants to see him come up as Prime Minister in the Upcoming 2019 Lok Sabha election, former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi has now responded on his statement and saying it has no relevance.
Rabri Devi said "Unki umar ho gayi hai. Yaad nahi rehta hai kab kya bol denge. Unki boli ka koi mayene nahi rakhta hai [He is old now. He can't remember what to say when. His statements bear no relevance.]"

During last Day of the Lok Sabha session, Mulayam Singh Yadav on Thursday said, "I wish that PM Modi, you should become the prime minister again. I have experienced that whenever I met you, you got my work done instantly."
As Mulayam Singh’s son and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav have joined hands with Mayawati’s Bahujan Samaj Party to oust Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Bhartiya Janta Party from power in 2019, it is big setback for their alliance in Uttar Pradesh.
Interestingly, Sonia Gandhi was sitting beside Mulayam Singh when he openly showcased his support for PM Modi and praised his work. As Mulayam heaped praise, PM Modi smiled and folded his hands in gratitude for the words of appreciation.
