After Bihar police arrested several BJP leaders indulged in instigating communal violence, Bharatiya Janata Party, Bihar accused the Nitish Kumar government of ‘arresting of innocents and partial action’. The party accused that the administration is going strict with majority community and soft towards minority. It further demanded “impartial probe”.
Sanjeev Chaurasia of the BJP met DGP and submitted a memorandum to him, alleging that innocent people are being targeted and culprits are being let off.
“DGP has assured us that after investigation is complete, everything will be clear. No innocent will be punished & strict action will be taken against culprits,” said Chaurasia.
The BJP’s allegation came day after Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that he will never compromise with the rule of law and he is committed to communal harmony and brotherhood. Kumar also said that he could go to any extent to maintain his track record of law and order.
