Bengaluru school receives bomb threat; bomb disposal squad reaches spot

A school in Karnataka’s Bengaluru received a bomb threat this morning. The school administration has moved students to a safer place and informed the police about the threat.

After receiving the information, police, the bomb disposal team, and the dog squad reached the National Public School and cordoned off the area. The search operation is underway.


DCP West Bengaluru Laxman B Nimbaragi stated that a case will be filed and an investigation will be carried out.

“Bomb threat received by NPS School, Rajajinagar under Basaveshwar Nagar PS. We've ensured students are taken to a safe place, bomb disposal & dog squad have reached the spot. Case to be registered and investigation is being done,” DCP Nimbaragi said.

National Public School is a school located in Bengaluru, established in 1959 by KP Gopalkrishna. The campus consists of four buildings. The school is located in Chord Road, 5th Block, Rajajinagar.
