A grenade was hurled at a government girls' high school in Balochistan's Killa Abdullah district near Pak-Afghan border on 22 March , however, no loss of life was reported from the attack.
Two armed militants on a motorcycle hurled a hand-grenade at the school in Killi Pir Alizai area of district Killa Abdullah, reports the Dawn quoting sources.
No injuries or fatalities were reported from the attack but the glasses of the school were smashed, also no immediate claims of responsibility were made for the attack.
"Fortunately, the girls were inside their classes at the time of attack," Zamarak Achakzai, the parliamentary leader of Awami National Party (ANP) who belongs to the same village told DawnNews
Achakzai further said that he strongly condemned the terror act and demanded the arrest of culprits behind the attack.
Levies personnel reached the girls high school as investigation into the incident went underway.
This is the first attack of its kind targeting an educational institution in the area.
