A case has been filed against political strategist Prashant Kishor for cheating and content theft at Patna’s Pataliputra police station. A youth, identified as Shashwat Gautam has stated that Prashant Kishor used his content for his ‘Baat Bihar Ki’ campaign.
A case has been registered under Section 420 (cheating and dishonesty inducing delivery of property) and 406 (punishment for criminal breach of thrust) of the Indian Penal Code. The youth alleged that Kishor plagiarised content from his “Bihar ki Baat” campaign.
Shashwat Gautam has stated that he developed the content with another person named Osama.
Shashwat also claimed that he had given his content to Prashant Kishor. Patna poilce has initiated a probe into the case.
Prashant Kishor announced the ‘Bihar ki Baat’ programme, aimed at transforming Bihar into one of the 10 best states in the country. With the campaign, Kishor will be travelling throughout Bihar for 100 days ahead of the state assembly polls.
Kishor stated that he will work towards developing young leaders in the state.
This came after Prashant Kishor’s difference of opinion with Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and was expelled from JD(U).
Earlier, Kishor held a press conference to slam Nitish Kumar and also announce the campaign.
He launched an attack on Nitish Kumar over the development model and stated that it failed to bring much development in the past 15 years as Bihar continues to remain poor.
Prashant Kishor stated that Bihar couldn’t see its leader becoming a ‘pichhlaggu’ and also mocked Nitish Kumar for having capitulated before the BJP for power.
