The Supreme Court on Wednesday reserved its order on the matter referring to Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid title dispute case to court-appointed and monitored mediation for a ‘permanent solution.’ Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi asked the petitioners to suggest names for a “mediator or panel of mediators” and said, "Parties to suggest a name for mediator or panel for mediators. We intend to pass the order soon."
A five five-judge Constitution bench headed by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi had the parties involved in the Ayodhya case to explore the possibility of amicably settling the decades-old dispute through mediation.
