The Coimbatore Police has arrested a 1998 serial blast convict Mohammed Rafiq. The arrest has been made because of a telephonic conversation went viral on social media. In the viral audio, Rafiq was planning to kill PM Narendra Modi.
He was re-arrested by Coimbatore Police after completing his jail term for 1998 serial blast. As per the call recording, Rafiq was talking to a truck contractor named Prakash.
The audio recording was in the Tamil language which duration was 8 minute. In the recording, Rafiq and truck contractor are speaking about how to kill PM Modi. They said that ‘we have decided to kill PM. As we were the ones who planted bombs during the BJP leader L K Advani’s visit to Coimbatore in 1998.’
Rafiq also said to the truck contractor that he had visited all jails in Tamil Nadu and was also charged under National Security Act, TADA and Goondas Act. Coimbatore Police also formed special teams to investigate the recorded conversation and verify the genuineness of the persons in it, the police said in a press release seen by news agency PTI.
Well, Modi fans won’t take this viral audio easily and reacted brutally to it.
