Three coaches of Silchar-Trivandrum Express caught fire in the early hours of Sunday, while it was standing at the Silchar railway station in Assam. The fire services and SDRF personnel reached the place soon after the heavy flames were noticed coming out of the coaches. However, no casualties have been reported so far.
The fire has been brought under control, however, the reason behind the fire is yet to be revealed.

According to a report of Asaam local, the fire broke out in a sleeper class coach that was close to the pantry car of the express train. That had then spread to other near coaches of the train. Further details is still awaited.
