As Arun Jaitley and Rahul Gandhi debates over Rafale deal, MPs fling ‘paper planes in Parliament

In a debate on Rafale deal in the Parliament between Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and Congress Chief Rahul Gandhi, MPs flew paper planes like school kids in a classroom. Speaker Sumitra Mahajan than turned as a teacher for screaming members of Parliament as they started flying paper planes during Arun Jaitley’s address on the Rafale deal.

"Bachche hain kya aap sab? Bachpan mein nahin kiya yeh sab (Are you all kids? Have you not done this in your childhood)?" a miffed Sumitra Mahajan lashed out at the Lok Sabha members.

Rahul Gandhi targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi, posing a series of questions that he fears to answer Union Minister Arun Jaitley shut Congress chief by raising the AgustaWestland deal, the National Herald case and Bofors issue to target his family and accused him of lying.

"It is a tragedy for the country that the Grand Old Party is headed today by a gentleman who doesn't have an understanding of what a combat aircraft is," Mr Jaitley said.

Rahul Gandhi attacked Goa CM Manohar Parrikar that he hide the Rafale deal papers in his bedroom. He also requested to play an audio tape on Rafale deal that his party claims are the recording of a Goa minister quoting Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar as saying that files related to the Rafale jet deal were "in his bedroom".

But when the Speaker repeatedly asked whether he was ready to authenticate the tape and Mr Jaitley objected, Mr Gandhi said, "I understand that you are terrified, I will not play the tape, if it makes you happy."
