In 2009, Gandhi withdrew from the British company Backops and then the company stopped its operations. Attacking Rahul Gandhi, BJP leader said: “this is the story of a man who once wanted to be a defence dealer and now wishes to become the PM of India.”
Addressing Media Arun Jaitley said, “On May 28, 2002, a company is formed in India named Backops Private Limited. Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka become the company’s director. In 2003, a company with the same name is formed in Britain. Rahul, along with a US citizen, become company’s directors.”
“Now Rahul Gandhi is going to be judged by the standards and level of proof he's laid down,” Arun Jaitley said.
