Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu have begun his daylong hunger strike in Delhi today (11th February) at Andhra Pradesh Bhawan. He is on hunger strike for demanding special status for Andhra Pradesh and also against the central government for not fulfiling the commitments made by the government under the AP Reorganisation Act, 2014.

Naidu has begun his hunger strike ‘Dharma Porata Deeksha’ at the Andhra Pradesh Bhavan after paying tributes to Mahatma Gandhi at Raj Ghat.

However, this fast of Naidu will be going to consider as the grand show of unity of opposition parties, which will be joined by 21 leaders from oppositions who will be extending their support to Naidu. As per the source from the Telugu Desam Parliamentary Party (TDPP) said that Congress President Rahul Gandhi likely to join the hunger strike of Naidu for the cause of Andhra Pradesh, besides several other national leaders.
