Annapurna Devi, a 91-year-old legendary Hindustani classical musician passed away at Mumbai hospital

A legendary musician of India, Annapurna Devi breathe her last on Saturday. She died at Breach Candy hospital in Mumbai, officials confirmed. She was 91-year-old.

She was declared dead at 3.51 am, they added. Annapurna Devi was suffering from age-related issues for the past few years, hospital officials added.

Annapurna Devi was an Indian surbahar player of Hindustani classical music. She was the daughter and disciple of Allauddin Khan. She was married to sitar maestro Ravi Shankar.
