A 26-year-old woman was killed by her ex-lover at Kadapa district’s Pulivendula. The woman was stabbed to death on Wednesday.
The victim has been identified as Rizwana, who hailed from Andhra Pradesh’s Anantpur district.
According to the Times of India, About five years ago, she was married to a man from Simhadripuram in the Kadapa district. The couple has two kids. The family moved to Pulivendula and was settled there since 2020.
The victim who was sill in contact with her ex-lover eloped with him three months back. The accused ex-boyfriend has been identified as Harshavardhan. He is a native of NK Kalva of the Anantpur district.
The victim’s family came to know that she was with her lover in Bengaluru. The relatives, family members contacted Rizwana and persuaded her to come back to her family, to which she agreed. Rizwana started living with her family in Pulivendula.
On Wednesday, Rizwana was all by herself at home when her enraged ex-boyfriend came and stabbed her to death. The accused was immediately taken into custody by the local police.
The dead body of the deceased was sent for autopsy and a case was lodged by the Pulivendula police.
In another incident, a man allegedly stabbed his wife on Tuesday, after she beat up their kid for not studying. The incident happened at the accused's residence in Shastri Nagar in Kalina. The woman sustained serious injuries during the act.
The accused has been identified as Avinash Varpe. After the incident, Varpe approached the Vakola police station and surrendered before the police. The victim has been identified as Jayshree.
A police official said that the accused stabbed the victim multiple times in her neck and stomach, leaving her seriously hurt. Following this, he went to the police station and gave himself up.
