Ananth Kumar death: MHA declares state funeral to the first person who spoke in Kannada in the United Nations

The Ministry of Home Affairs has announced the state funeral after the unfortunate demise of the Union Minister Ananth Kumar in the wee hours on Monday.

Union Minister and senior Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) leader took his last breath at the age of 59 at a private hospital in Bengaluru.


The Home Ministry also said that the national flag will be flown at the half-mast throughout the country on 12th November.

Here’s what Ministry of Home Affairs said:

“Following the unfortunate demise of Union Minister Ananth Kumar, it has been decided that National Flag will fly at half-mast throughout the country today and state-funeral will be accorded.”

However, Ananth Kumar was one of the most loved MP and he was the first person who had spoken in Kannada in the United Nations.

Meanwhile, many politicians have expressed their sorrow and grief over the demise of the BJP leader.

 

 

Also, the Karnataka government has declared three-day mourning in the state following the sudden death of the Union Minister. He has been represented Bengaluru south for six terms in Lok Sabha. One-day holiday has been declared on Monday.

Ananth Kumar was battling with cancer for a long time and took his last breath at around 2:00 am on Monday.

As per the reports, he was on ventilator support for the last few days.
