Days after 60 people were crushed to death by a DMU train during Dussehra celebration in Amritsar, the organiser of the Amritsar Ramleela and Ravana effigy burning ceremony was caught fleeing on the camera.
Around 70 were critically injured in the mishap that took place on Friday and turned the celebration into a tragedy. In the event, the Punjab Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu's wife Navjot Kaur Sidhu was invited as the chief guest.
Protestors also pelted stones on police when they (police) asked them to clear the railway tracks where they were sitting in protest against Amritsar train accident.

One security personnel was injured after protesters pelted stones on police when being asked to clear railway tracks. Head Constable Amritpal Singh says 'They're pelting stones. He received injuries in his eyes.
While, the organiser was caught fleeing the city, agitated unknown assailants allegedly attacked organiser's home. A resident said that the attackers broke windows with stones, adding she was also saddened by the accident. This incident comes after the police admitted they gave clearance to the organisers but railway authorities claimed they were not informed about the event.
