Air India flight suffered a big blow when both domestic and international flights got affected on Saturday due to server break down. The check-in software stopped working for around six hours from 3:30 am to 9:30 am and hundreds of Air India passengers were left perplexed at several airports around the world.

No information was given to passengers as to when the service will resume after the shutdown of SITA-DCS. Related to this incident a user took Twitter and posted, “Air India: Flight delayed due to server problems!! Passengers: yh nhi sudhrenge”

This is not the first time this incident took place, prior to this on 23rd June 2018, 25 flights got delayed due to a technical glitch in the airline’s check-in software. The airline tweeted on 23rd June "Due to unexpected network connectivity issues at SITA #Atlanta #Datacenter, which had a #worldwide impact, 25 flights were delayed from 1210 hrs to 1510 hrs on #Airindia network. Operations are normal now (sic)."

Soon Twitterati went crazy and started trolling and cursing Air India. Here have a look:

However, Air India’s flight's operation resumed, hours after global shutdown since early Saturday morning. The service was affected after the problem occurred in the airline’s main server. "The system has been restored. It has begun functioning. We regret the inconvenience that passengers had to face," said the national carrier's chairman and managing director Ashwani Lohani.
