After Priyanka Gandhi’s entry into active politics, husband Robert Vadra hinted yesterday about his political ambitions and today, in UP’s Moradabad, poster have appeared ‘welcoming Vadra’ to contest for 2019 polls.
Vadra, who is in news after Enforcement Directorate’s interrogation regarding land deal and other cases, yesterday shared his ambitions in a Facebook post and hinted of joining the politics.
The posters, credited to ‘Moradabad Youth Congress,’ read as, “Robert Vadraji, you are welcome to contest from the Moradabad Lok Sabha seat.”

In the post, Vadra wrote, “The years n months that I spent campaigning n working in different parts of the country, but mainly in UP, gave me a feeling to do more for the people n make smaller changes possible by me, in their areas n when they got to know me, the genuine love, affection n respect I earned was humbling ... All these years of experience n learning cannot be just wasted and should be put to better use... once all these accusations n allegations are over, I feel I should dedicate a larger role in serving the people.”
Ruling BJP has always alleged that the Congress party is always up for dynastic politics and maintaining the centre of power withing the Gandhi family.
BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi took jibe over the posters welcoming Robert Vadra in politics, and said, “Yeh jo P-R(Priyanka-Rahul) siyasi circus hai,us P-R siyasi circus mein joker ki entry baaki thi aur joker ki entry ab dikhayi pad rahi hai.”
Whereas, Congress’ Sandeep Dikshit said, “It is up to the workers. Every person expresses himself. Everyone has the freedom to express themselves.”
