After the Haryana court gave it's verdict on Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh and convicted him of rape case, a large group of people erupted violence in Panchkula in Haryana. As per reports, eleven people have been killed and more than 200 injured after the followers of Dera Sacha Sauda went into rampage.
Not only this, as many as three railway stations, a power grid and petrol pumps in Haryana have been burnt. A lot of media personnels have also been injured during the protests.
Earlier today the total number of cancelled trains to 201, including 92 Mail/Express and 109 Passenger trains. However, mobile internet services will remain active in Gurugram and Faridabad.
The possibility of an outbreak of violence in Haryana has also affected the cost of air travel. Reportedly, the fare from Delhi to Chandigarh has risen up to as much as Rs. 11,000.
