Jaipur (Rajasthan): CISF Assistant Sub Inspector Giriraj Prasad has filed a case against a SpiceJet female crew member after she allegedly slapped him at the airport. The female crew member has also filed a case against the ASI.
Accusations and Counterclaims
Assistant Commissioner of Police of Malviya Nagar, Aditya Poonia, confirmed that cases had been filed by both parties. According to ASI Prasad's report, the crew member arrived at the airport at 4 in the morning while he was on duty.
Conflict Over Security Check
Prasad stated that the crew member tried to enter without undergoing a security check. When he stopped her, she cited the absence of female staff and refused to be screened. Giriraj contacted airport control to request female staff.
Escalation and Assault
The crew member reportedly became angry and started arguing. Before the female staff arrived, she slapped him. DCP Poonia reported that the woman was arrested and produced in court after reviewing CCTV footage.
SpiceJet's Statement
SpiceJet stated that the ASI used abusive language and asked the female staff to meet him at his home after duty. They are taking legal action for sexual harassment and have approached the local police.
On Thursday evening, the SpiceJet employee also filed a case of misbehaviour against ASI Prasad. The Malviya Nagar Police are now investigating the matter.
