Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Amanatullah Khan has been accused to tweeting false information after the MLA on Saturday posted that a mob had set his house on fire in Ambe Enclave Chauhan Mohalla in Sonia Vihar.
The MLA also tweeted a video along with the post.
At a subsequent time, the Fire Department was informed and the department later verified that it was a normal call and five tenders were rushed. However, the Fire department stated that the incident had nothing to do with the ongoing violence in the national capital.
Delhi Police are examining the matter.
The violence that began on Sunday over the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) in the national capital claimed at least 42 lives.
