16-year-old boy shot dead while trying to stop fight in Noida

In a shocking incident, a 16-year-old boy was shot dead while trying to stop a brawl in Noida Sector 62 on May 10.

According to the police, Tavis Yadav was shot when he attempted to intervene in the fight between his maternal uncle and the accused.


Tavis was immediately rushed to a hospital but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.

"Today at around 5 am, a boy named Tavis Yadav, age 16, resident of Gautam Buddha Nagar died during treatment due to bullet injury in the chest in Sector 62 Noida Fortis Hospital," said police.

The accused, identified as Dharmendra, fled the scene after shooting the 16-year-old boy.

The body has been sent for postmortem.

Police have lodged a case and a hunt is on to nab the accused.

Further investigation is underway.
