Valentine’s Day 2022: Watch these romantic films with your love at home

1. Masaan

Masaan revolves around four lives intersecting along the Ganges: a low caste boy hopelessly in love, a young woman ridden with guilt of a sexual encounter ending in a tragedy, a hapless father with fading morality, and a spirited child yearning for a family- as they try to escape the moral constructs of small-town India.

2. Jab We Met

A wealthy but suicidal industrialist Aditya (Shahid Kapoor) boards a train without a ticket to escape his depressing life. On the journey, he bumps into Geet (Kareena Kapoor), a Punjabi chatterbox bubbling with energy and optimism. She is determined to get him to open up. What follows is a series of misadventures centered around a girl who just can't seem to stay out of trouble and a man who feels obliged to look out for her.

3. Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani

Naina (Deepika Padukone) is a shy and nerdy medical student. When she runs into an old classmate, Aditi (Kalki Koechlin), she realises that she wants more from life. She makes an impulsive decision to go with Aditi on a trek in the Himalayas. During the hike, she reconnects with other former classmates, Kabir (Ranbir Kapoor) and Avi (Aditya Roy Kapur). Kabir teaches Naina to laugh and play, and she falls in love with him. However, she doesn't reveal her love, as she wants Kabir to follow his passion for traveling. Eight years later, they meet again in Udaipur for Aditi's lavish wedding. Kabir and Naina's love is rekindled.

A story of a Punjabi boy, Krish, who falls in love with a South Indian girl, Ananya. After completing their studies, the couple decides to get married. When they revealed their relationship with their families, the real struggle starts then. The story of the film is relatable to those who want to do inter-caste marriage. The film is an adaptation of Chetan Bhagat's best-selling novel starring Arjun Kapoor as Krish Malhotra, Alia Bhatt as Ananya Swaminathan. and a movie directed by Abhishek Varman.

5. Shuddh Desi Romance

Shuddh Desi Romance is the journey of three restless young people who junk the society's syllabus for finding love and decide to follow their hearts. Raghu (Sushant Singh Rajput), a tourist guide in Jaipur, wants love in his life, and that's it. The rest he's going to figure out along the way. Gayatri (Parineeti Chopra), a part-time instructor in an English-speaking institute, has been around the block a few times and knows the scene, warts and all. Tara (Vaani Kapoor), who's dying to get out there and fly, knows what's right for her, but a little experimenting never hurt anybody, did it? When their lives crisscross, their beliefs get challenged, and their loves tested. We all want it all...the love, the attraction, the relationship, the commitment.

The story of the film can make you emotional. It is based on Nicholas Sparks' novel. The movie featured Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams in the lead.
