The nation is celebrating the National Girl Child on January 24 across the country and on this auspicious moment, Indian Forest Services (IFS) officer Parveen Kaswan shared the photo of ISRO’s scientist Mangala Mani who became the first Indian woman to live in at least -10 to -60 degree temperature for 403 days.
The IFS officer took the throwback photo of Mangala Mani on his official handle. The ISRO’s scientist spent more than one year in the spine-chilling winds of Antarctica in 2018.
Mangala (57) completed the task as part of a 23-member expedition team that was sent to India’s research station in the icy continent in November 2016.
In the image, Mangala can be seen in her warm clothes suited specially designed for the freezing temperature in Antarctica
IFS officer shared the photo with a perfect caption and reply to those who underestimate girls.
“Ladki hai, Ghar se kitna hi door jaegi.
