The 9th edition of India Runway Week (IRW) is on its way and keeping up with its trend to introduce fresh fashion talents, the Indian Federation for Fashion Development (IFFD) has announced the latest group of young designers.
The new-gen initiative show has been specially formulated to showcase the talents of young designers.
For the winter/festive 2017 season, the IFFD has selected 10 designers - APASH, Elan by Rahul and Vidhu, Getup, JM by Jyotimunish, Nisha Singh, Rajat and Sumit collection, RAV by Vashu , Saima Kashif, TWEE in One by Niti Singhal, Vintage Loom from cities like New Delhi, Bangalore, Jaipur, Indore and Kolkata. There collection is of festive and winter pret.
Kiran Kheva, Fashion Director, IRW said, "From the beginning itself, IRW has always promoted young and emerging designers and encouraged designers who have the potential. Just like past seasons, this season again you will witness 10 newgen designers in two shows."
Talking about the newgen initiative, Avinash Pathania, Founder, IFFD said, " IRW Newgen has become one of the leading platforms for discovering young talent. They are the future of Indian fashion who all will stun the world in the near future."
