A state, defined by its lush mountainous terrain, picturesque village settlements, and rich cultural heritage, Nagaland is also recognized for its finesse in fashion and handicrafts.
In keeping with the tradition, a three-day doll-making workshop, under Umang programme, was organized by North East Zone Cultural Centre, Ministry of culture at NEZCC complex from 25-27 October.
More than 30 students from three schools from Kohima and Dimapur participated in the workshop. The participants were mostly differently-abled people, who were either deaf or dumb.
During the programme, the children were taught the basics of doll making.
Instructors of the programme were from Precious Me Love (PML).
